Don Cherry (Oklahoma, 18 de noviembre de 1936 - Málaga, 19 de octubre de 1995), trompetista estadounidense de jazz. Músico representante de la vanguardia jazzística. Cherry fue muy criticado (Miles Davis, entre ellos) por sus improvisaciones fracturadas y puntillistas, sin embargo, terminaría por ejercer gran influencia entre los músicos jóvenes de los años sesenta.

Don (Donald Eugene) Cherry (November 18, 1936 – October 19, 1995) was an innovative African-American jazz trumpeter whose career began with a long association with saxophonist Ornette Coleman, and who would go on to live and work with a wide variety of musicians in many parts of the world.

Don Cherry (né le 18 novembre 1936 à Oklahoma City dans l’Oklahoma - mort le 19 octobre 1995 à Málaga en Espagne) était un trompettiste de jazz américain connu entre autres pour son association avec les saxophonistes Ornette Coleman et Albert Ayler.
